Description
My First Sketch after obtaining membership to the Los Angeles Natural History Museums. This is the skeleton of an Antique Bison found in The La Brea Tar Pits, on display at the Page Museum. I used a soft prismacolor pencil on it. This was a pretty quick sketch, good warm up... but I wanted to try and work in greater detail so I switched to retractable pencils for my next sketches.

Update: These are my personal sketchbook pages. They are not resources or tutorials, though you are welcome to use them as visual reference. I'm only stating this because the majority of faves are to collections entitled, 'tutorials', 'stock' or something similar. I think that's kind of weird and it gives me the impression you're just copying my drawings.
By the way, I also took photographs of these skeletons. You are welcome to download and do whatever you want with the photos. They are located in my free stock folder, here: [link]

You forgot to tell them they booted us out of the comfy spot we found to sit in while sketching was done. Darn those supposed theaters!
